Christopher Reeve Foundation (CRF), formerly American Paralysis Association (APA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage and support research to cure paralysis caused by spinal cord injury and other central nervous system disorders. Since inception CRF has allocated more than $60 million to restorative, regeneration research. The Foundation also allocates a portion of its resources to grants that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. CRF also engages in various public awareness and education activities on both national and local levels.
