Launch and Sustain a Community of Practice
This section of the Resource Kit discusses the process used to launch a new community of practice and provides guidance for ensuring your community maintains productive momentum. This section is broken out into three phases, including:
If you have an idea for a new PHIN Community there are several items to consider that will help ensure your Community has a strong foundation. Within this section you will learn about the key considerations and activities that should occur before launching a CoP. In this section you will find: Once you have established a new PHIN Community of Practice you will need to plan the launch. This section provides guidance and suggestions on how to successfully launch a CoP, as well as strategies for CoP maturation and growth. Inside this section discover information regarding CoP member recruitment, how to conduct a successful kick-off meeting, and how to promote your CoP. In the Sustain and Evolve phase of CoP development it is important to consider strategies for maintaining and increasing membership, as well as achieving the goals of the Community. This section provides you with guidance on how to encourage ongoing participation, expand membership, and evolve your CoP over time.
