November 2006: EPA Recognizes Lunt Manufacturing and Tokai Rika for Global Climate Protection

EPA’s SF6 Emission Reduction Partnership for the Magnesium Industry proudly recognized Lunt Manufacturing (Schaumberg, Illinois USA) and Tokai Rika (Aichi, Japan) for their industry leadership and aggressive implementation of climate-friendly magnesium melt protection technology at the 4th International Conference on SF6 and the Environment. Lunt Manufacturing and Tokai Rika are magnesium die casting companies and are leading the magnesium industry’s efforts to eliminate SF6 emissions by 2010. EPA’s conference cosponsors include the World Bank, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, and the International Magnesium Association. Read the EPA news brief.

August 2006: Partnership Demonstrates New Technologies for the Magnesium Industry

Led by the SF6 Emission Reduction Partnership for the Magnesium Industry, a group of companies and researchers from Australia, Canada, Japan, and the U.S. conducted pilot tests and emission measurements for cutting-edge, climate-friendly melt protection technologies that promise significant environmental benefits.
