Library

The EPA Region 2 library provides access to an onsite collection of materials including general resources and other specialized subjects to support the policy and research mission of the Agency. The repository collection of unique EPA documents is also held onsite.

The library is staffed by professional librarians who provide services to EPA staff and the public, in person and by phone or email. Services include reference and research assistance on general and specialized environmental topics. For more information, please email library.region2@epa.gov or call (212) 637-3185.

The Region 2 library is open to the public, and is located at our offices at 290 Broadway, New York, New York (16th Floor). Click here for directions. The library is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Appointments are recommended, but not required.

The Region 2 Library does not circulate materials to the public. Members of the public are, however, welcome to visit the library and review publications on-site. People who need to borrow materials should contact their local public, school, or university libraries and ask for an interlibrary loan. If you have any questions, please call or email.

Information For Other Libraries: We freely share materials with other libraries in North America via the OCLC Interlibrary Loan system. Our OCLC symbol is EIA and we are members of FEDL (Federal Libraries and Information Centers) and LVIS (Libraries Very Interested in Sharing). For libraries that do not have OCLC access, please contact the Librarian at 212-637-3185 for alternate methods.

Many EPA documents are available through online sources.  Look for a direct link to a particular document in the EPA Online Library System.
