The EPA Region 2 disaster team responds to emergencies like floods and chemical spills in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The EPA lab and response vehicle fleet in Edison, N.J., features state of the art sampling and analysis tools. The team works with other federal agencies, state and local governments and the public to prepare for and respond to disasters.
