Development Grants
Wetland Program Development Grants provide financial assistance for wetland protection and enhancement to state, tribal and local government entities only. Grants may be used to develop or enhance programs for the protection, management, or restoration of wetlands.
2009 Request for Proposals
The EPA National and Regional Program Priorities for this program are described in detail in the 2009 Request for Proposals (PDF) (28 pp, 232K, About PDF) and are as follows:
- Strengthening State/Tribal Comprehensive Wetland Programs;
- Developing a Comprehensive Wetland Monitoring and Assessing Program;
- Improving the Effectiveness of Compensatory Mitigation;
- Refining the Protection of Valuable Wetlands and Aquatic Resources; and
- Development of Wetland Restoration Demonstrations and Studies on a Watershed Basis.
Hard copy proposals must be received by 5:00 P.M. EDT, on June 5, 2009, or electronic submissions must be submitted to grants.gov by 11:59 P.M. EDT, June 5 2009.
