Associate Deputy Under Secretary Larry Casey traveled to Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana from July 6 - 15, 2008, to participate in consultative meetings organized as part of a U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL)-funded Cocoa Oversight Contract with Tulane University. The trip also included site visits to a USDOL-funded project in Ghana implemented by the International Labor Organization's International Program on the Elimination of Child Labor (ILO-IPEC), and to a project in Cote d’Ivoire funded by the cocoa industry and implemented by the International Cocoa Initiative (ICI).
