Research Project: CHROMOSOME MAPPING IN SITU

End Date: Sep 30, 2009

Objective:
Evaluate relationship between mapped genetic markers and cytological location on carrot chromosomes.

Approach:
1) Data and locating at least 10 specific genetic (pigment, nematode resistance) markers on carrot chromosomes. 2) Data locating 3 general chromosome markers. 3) Preliminary evaluation of chromosome marker variation in genetic stocks and diverse germplasm of potato and cucurbit.
