Research Project: ALTERNATIVES TO METHYL BROMIDE USDA-PAW PROJECT WORK PLAN: FOREST TREE NURSERIES (U OF WA)

Location: Horticultural Crops Research

Project Number: 5358-12220-003-17
Project Type: Grant

Start Date: Sep 29, 2008
End Date: Sep 30, 2009

Objective:
Identify technical and economical alternatives to methyl bromide, while controlling the cost and emissions of these alternatives to enable their continued use.

Approach:
Selected treatments will build on previous work. In year one, we will attempt to maintain disease control efficacy with lower rates of some formulations; while other treatments will be designed to improve weed control. Consequently, all formulations will be tested under virtually impermeable film (VIF). Documents grant agreement with University of Washington.
