The bookstores at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area are run in cooperation with the Northwest Interpretive Association (NWIA). We offer items relating to Washington and US military history, natural and cultural history, field and regional travel guides, as well as general information. Funds raised through the sale of our publications directly aid the park.

Sales area are located year round at our Headquarters in Coulee Dam. Seasonally they are located at the Kettle Falls Information Center and the Visitor Center at Fort Spokane. You can purchase items via fax or phone. See order form for more information.

Fire is a natural part of Lake Roosevelt's dry forest and desert environment. Park fire fighters, to protect nearby landowners, manage the forest by extinguishing any wildfire, as well as thin, pile up, and burn excess vegetation in winter. Prescribed fires may be lit to burn what is left.
