In
2001, for both sexes combined, the percents of adults who were vaccinated
against influenza during the past 12 months were 63.0% (95% CI =
61.6%-64.4%) for adults aged 65 years and over, 32.2% (95% CI =
30.8%-33.5%) for adults aged 50-64 years, and 15.1% (95% CI = 14.5%-15.7%)
for adults aged 18-49 years.
For
the elderly aged 65 years and over, women were less likely than men to
receive influenza vaccine.
