The American Association of People with Disabilities(AAPD) organizes the disability community to be a powerful force for change-politically, socially, and ecnomically- and recognizes the value of working in broad coalitions to foster unity, leadership, and impact.  Because we are primarily a non-profit membership organization and we are based in Washington, D.C., we can not provide direct services to individual people with disabilities.  However, if you would like to contact AAPD regarding our work in Washington, D.C., our national projects, or other related topics, a list of our divisions and staff is below.

If you are looking for assistance as a person with a disability or if you need direct services, we are happy to provide you a referral to an organization that can help.  Again, unfortunately, AAPD is not a service-provider organization and thus we do not provide legal or advocacy services directly to individuals with disabilities.  For a referral to an organization that may be able to help, please click here.

AAPD is located at:

If you have a request for information not covered here, please consult our comprehensive referral list to find an organization that may be able to help you.  Again, AAPD does not provide direct services to individuals, but we are happy to refer you to someone who may be able to help.
