PulseNet Update Meeting Poster Listing and Abstracts

The 9th annual PulseNet Update meeting will be held
May 9-11, 2005, at the Westin Seattle in Washington
State. The host for this meeting will be the Washington
State Department of Health. Optional events may
also take place on Sunday, May 8.
Participation is open to laboratory personnel of
state health departments (and county and city health
departments, where appropriate) that are part of the
PulseNet Network. Foodborne epidemiologists
who are interested in utilizing PulseNet data may
want to accompany their laboratory counterparts. PulseNet
participants from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,
the U.S. Department of Agriculture/Food Safety and
Inspection Service, and public health and food safety
officials associated with PulseNet International are
also invited to attend. Laboratory personnel from
other International Public Health Agencies who are
interested in learning more about PulseNet or participating
in PulseNet are invited to attend at their own expense.
Available ELC or EIP funding is expected to be used
to travel PulseNet laboratorians to this meeting.
Additional ELC or EIP funds may be used to travel
foodborne epidemiologists to this meeting, if deemed
appropriate by the state.

International Meeting on Microbial Epidemiological
Markers on May 11-14 in Victoria, British Columbia
CANADA. Self-supported travel to this meeting will
be facilitated by APHL for any interested Update Meeting
