This fact sheet provides ideas for helping children express themselves in ways other than talking to help them through the recovery process following a disaster. Suggestions include using puppets to help children "tell" or "live" a story, reading stories from children's books related to rescue and recovery efforts, and introducing drawing as a way of "talking silently."
