Accreditation
Center Activities
NEIC was granted accreditation by the Forensic Quality Services-International 
(FQS-I), making it the only accredited environmental
forensic center in the United States. Accreditation granted by this
organization is recognized nationally and internationally by forensic and
measurement facilities.
NEIC's accreditation covers field measurements/monitoring, field sampling, and laboratory measurements. The FQS-I customized requirements for this accreditation to cover the work conducted by NEIC for civil, criminal, and special programs.
NEIC is, also accredited to determine asbestos in bulk
materials under the National Voluntary Laboratory
Accreditation Program, operated by the National Institute of
Standards and Technology.
