Mission:
The mission of the Diet, Genomics, and Immunology Laboratory focuses on four main areas (1) determine human requirements and basic mechanisms ofaction of nutrients; (2) identify chemical forms and bioavailabilities of nutrients in foods; (3) develop techniques for assessment of nutritional status; (4) develop cellular, molecular and immunological methods for evaluating nutrient bioavailability, metabolic function and requirements; and their effect on immune function.
