Aloha, and welcome to the website of the State of Hawaii Office of Consumer Protection.
The Office of Consumer Protection is the primary government agency in the State of Hawaii that consumers contact with questions or complaints about general business transactions. Our mission, composed by our employees, is:
To foster a fair and safe marketplace for consumers which encourages businesses to conduct themselves honestly, ethically, and responsibly.
This is a goal that we at the Office of Consumer Protection take to heart. We investigate complaints regarding unfair or deceptive acts or practices, enforce Hawaii's consumer laws, and educate consumers and businesses on their respective rights and responsibilities.
