ABSTRACT: The database contains
acquisition related information which includes Advanced Acquisition
Planning Data, Solicitation Data, Contract Data, Contractor Data, Past
Performance Data and Subcontracting Data.
PURPOSE: The information collected
and maintained in the database is used to track upcoming acquisition
requirements, solicitations, active and inactive contracts, contractor
data, past performance data, and subcontracting data.
ACCESS CONSTRAINTS: Records in
the system are protected from unauthorized access through appropriate
administrative, physical, and technical safeguards.
USE CONSTRAINTS:
Information contained in the database is considered "acquisition sensitive;" therefore;
disclosure is restricted to DEA personnel on a need-to-know basis.
Information in the database may not be released to any individual outside
the DEA without the approval of the Office of Acquisition Management.
AGENCY PROGRAM: The DEA is the
principal investigative federal drug arm of the Department of Justice.
It is charged with maintaining records concerning acquisitions, active
and inactive contracts, information on subcontractors, technical proposals,
and other items utilized to conduct day to day business (bidding and
awarding contracts for goods and services) required by the DEA. This
system is one of the tools utilized to accomplish this mission.

in this system is a result of acquisition requirements and solicitations.
