ABSTRACT: A manual tracking system
is maintained regarding the formal EEO complaints filed by Drug Enforcement
Administration (DEA) employees and applicants for positions in DEA.
Formal EEO complaints are filed in accordance with the Civil Rights
Act of 1964 as amended and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
(EEOC) Management Directive 110. Records are maintained by fiscal year
and consist of the complaint number as assigned in accordance with
EEOC regulations, in chronological order by year; the name of the complainant,
the date the complaint was filed and the status of the complaint (i.e.
what stage of the overall EEO complaint process is in).
PURPOSE: To monitor the status
of formal DEA EEO complaints filed in accordance with the Civil Rights
Act of 1964 as amended, the age Discrimination Act, the Rehabilitation
Act and EEOC Management Directive 110. This system is also used to
be responsive to active reporting requests from the Department of Justice
and EEOC.
ACCESS CONSTRAINTS: All information
in this manual system is protected from unauthorized access through
appropriate administrative physical and technical safeguards, including
restricting access to those individuals with a need-to-know to perform
their official duties, using locks and safes.
USE CONSTRAINTS: Use of the information
in this system is restricted to only those who need the information
to perform their assigned tasks. Statistical information without names
attached is also available to managers, supervisors, etc.
AGENCY PROGRAM: The DEA EEO staff
is responsible, as well as all Federal Government Agencies, for compiling
information about EEO Discrimination complaints, filed against DEA.
This manual information tracking system is one of the tools utilized
to accomplish this responsibility.

form DOJ 102-A filed by DEA employees and applicants and information
collecting to process these complaints.
