EventsUpcomingWorld Conference on Transportation Research Society is a forum for the interchange of ideas among transportation researchers, managers, policy makers, and educators from all over the world, from a perspective which is multi-modal, multi-disciplinary, and multi-sectoral. The next World Conference on Transport Research will be held in Lisbon, Portugal hosted by Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in 2010. American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting, 12-16 February, 2009, in Chicago, Illinois. Each year at the AAAS Annual Meeting, science and technology professionals-from across disciplines and around the world-gather to discuss new research, emerging trends, and exciting new possibilities. PastIn April 2008, Popular Mechanics and the National Science Foundation presented "Bridges to the Future: A vision for infrastructure in the 21st century," a webcast discussion exploring the best ideas for improving American infrastructure and building a better, safer future.
