In addition to the items covered in the FHWA privacy policy, the Office of Bridge Technology provides:

  • an on line registration site for DP 102 and the Heat Straightening Demo. If you choose to register for the workshop on line, the information you provide will be forwarded to the workshop coordinator(s) and project managers. This information will be used in the same manner as all other registration information collected (e.g., registration form faxed directly to workshop coordinator) for the workshop.

  • an on line abstract submission and on line registration for various conferences. This information will be provided to the conference chairs and used in the same manner (e.g., registration form faxed directly to the chair, an abstract emailed to the chair) as all other registration and abstract submissions.

  • an on line data collection site for selected FRP projects. The projects and project information collected will be determined by the FHWA. The information collected will be made publicly available in the future through standard reports and queries.

  • an on line data collection site for selected mine projects. The projects and project information collected will be determined by the FHWA and the Interstate Technical Working Group on Abandoned Underground Mines. The information collected will be made publicly available in the future through standard reports and queries.

  • an on line ask the expert site for Hydraulics, Segmental Construction Bridge Technology, and Tunnels. The questions and contact information submitted will be shared with the team members. The question and answer as provided by the teams may be posted on the team web site.

  • various discussion groups are provided. A discussion topic submitted will be reviewed by the moderators and posted at their discretion. The posted message will include your name and email address if provided. For the Abandoned Underground Mines Discussion Group we will collect the IP address (an IP address is a number that is assigned to each computer connected to the Internet) from which you access this Web site

  • various password-protected, team only areas are provided. Access to the site is determined by a session cookie. The session cookie is used only to determine if a user is signed into the site.

  • An online application for the IBRD program. This password-protected. Access to the site is determined by a session cookie. The session cookie is used only to determine if a user is signed into the site. Data collected will be used to select projects for the IBRD program and may be posted on the Bridge web site.

  • An evaluation form for the National Bridge Preservation Workshop. The information collected will be shared with the steering committee and others to plan future workshops.

  • An on-line data collection directed toward Pontis users. The information collected will be shared with the AASHTO Pontis Community.
