Friends of Acadia preserves, protects, and promotes stewardship of the outstanding natural beauty, ecological vitality, and distinctive cultural resources of Acadia National Park and surrounding communities for the inspiration and enjoyment of current and future generations.

Proposed "eco-resort" development bounding Acadia at Schoodic
Recently, consultants of the landowners of 3,200 acres abutting the Schoodic Distric of Acadia contacted the Schoodic communities, Friends of Acadia, Acadia National Park, local land trusts, and other stakeholders to talk about a proposal to build a large scale “eco-resort” on the acerage.
