Build Your Own Skin On Frame Kayak
January 10 & 11, 17 & 18
Two Weekends, 9am to 5pm
Come build your own skin on frame sea kayak at the Tuckerton Seaport's Wooden Boat School. In just four days you can build your own boat which is strong, light weight and completely sea worthy in the traditional style of the Inuit people. The boat is a wooden frame with steam bent oak ribs all pegged and lashed with a 10oz ballistic nylon skin sewn on. The final product is a strong and beautiful boat that is suitable for both protected and open water use. Fee is $800 per boat which includes materials and instruction.
