Description
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Health Information Network (NHLBI HIN) is NHLBI's digital link to health professionals. All public health and medical professionals with an interest in heart, lung, blood, and sleep disorders are encouraged to join. Members receive information periodically by email (and occasionally by mail, if you choose) from NHLBI about its latest key research findings, clinical advisories, programs, and educational materials. The NHLBI Health Information Network is part of NHLBI's continuing support of the Government's Healthy People 2010 initiative, a blueprint for building a healthier Nation. Healthy People 2010 has two overarching goals--to increase the quality and years of American's healthy life and to end racial and ethnic disparities in the burden of disease.
