Description

Founded in 1987, the National Children's Cancer Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide direct financial support to children with cancer and their families, for expenses related to cancer treatment. The NCCS assists children from birth to age 18 and their families throughout the United States. NCCS works with more than 200 pediatric oncology hospitals and cancer centers to identify and help children and families in need. In addition, NCCS helps educate families with current information so they may better understand their child's illness, and provides cancer prevention materials to help children make healthy choices about tobacco use.
