The American Medical Women's Association is an organization of over 13,000 women physicians and medical students dedicated to supporting women physicians and the care of the woman patient. The American Medical Women's Association empowers women to lead in improving health for all, within a model that reflects the unique perspective of women. The Association functions at the local, national and international levels to support the advancement of women in medicine and improve women's health by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring and strategic alliances. AMWA maintains its prominence as the unique voice for women's health.
