Description

The National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC), a project of the Child Care Bureau, is a national clearinghouse and technical assistance center linking parents, providers, policy-makers, researchers, and the public to early care and education information through: -Partnering with the Child Care Bureau and ACF Regional Offices -Question and Answer Services -NCCIC Online Library and Web site -Technical Assistance and Training to States -Conference and Meeting Support -Publications NCCIC activities include: dissemination of child care information in response to requests from States, Territories and Tribes, other policy makers, parents, programs, organizations, child care providers and the public; outreach to ACF child care grantees and broader child care community via toll-free 800 number, and by fax, mail and electronic media; and publication of the Child Care Bulletin. NCCIC also supports the Child Care Bureau in the collection and analysis of child care data and maintains the database of information reported by State, Tribal and Territorial Grantees. NCCIC assists the Child Care Bureau with its analysis of programmatic and expenditure data. Information and resources are available online.
