The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) is a professional organization made up of ninety percent of U.S. ophthalmologists, dedicated to helping the public maintain healthy eyes and good vision. AAO activities include education, public and professional information, representation, member services, ethics and relations with ophthalmologic services, and an annual meeting.
