Description

The Scoliosis Association is a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization founded by scoliosis patients and their families. Among its goals is the education of the public about spinal deviations. The Association helps and sponsors chapters throughout the country; these are parent/patient support groups that hold regular meetings on topics ranging from social adjustment to nontechnical medical discussions. The Association is not a medical group, but it frequently arranges for medical professionals to attend meetings and participate in discussion sessions. Anyone can join a chapter. The Association supports early detection, screening, and research.
