Description
Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), founded in 1881, is the trade association representing the makers of nonprescription medicines and nutritional supplements. As such, the association acts as a liaison between the industry and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and Congress to ensure consumers have convenient access to safe and beneficial therapies and supplements. CHPA members companies are deeply committed to educating consumers about the responsible and effective use of their products and support the Consumers Health Education Center (CHEC), the industry’s nonprofit educational foundation. The Association publishes public education pamphlets on the safe use of nonprescription medicines. It also publishes a bi-weekly Executive Newsletter for its members.
