Description

The mission of the National Consumers League (NCL) is to protect and promote social and economic justice for consumers and workers in the United States and abroad. NCL is a private, nonprofit advocacy group representing consumers on marketplace and workplace issues. NCL is the nation's oldest consumer organization. NCL provides government, businesses, and other organizations with the consumer's perspective on concerns including child labor, privacy, food safety, and medication information. Besides its "NCL Bulletin," the organization offers two online publications: the "Child Labor Monitor" (subscribe at www.stopchildlabor.org), which provides updates on domestic and international child labor news; and "Focus on Fraud" (subscribe at pubs@nclnet.org), which presents information on telemarketing and Internet fraud issues.
