Description

The National Women's Health Network, established in 1975, is an independent, member-supported organization dedicated to safeguarding women's health rights and interests by providing accurate, unbiased health information to women and advocating for national health policies that address women's health needs. The network has a Women's Health Information Clearinghouse which provides information packets on a wide variety of issues. The Network requires a $8.00 donation for members and an $10.00 donation for non-members to cover photocopying for its information packets.

Publications include news alerts on controversial issues, a newsletter, an annual report, and 40+ booklets on women's health issues. Serial publications: Network News (newsletter), bimonthly--news stories on health information for women, local health actions, and Federal health policies; News alerts, as needed--emergency alerts on key health care controversies requiring immediate action. The Network also has a book titled "The Truth About Hormone Replacement Therapy" available. Membership, packets, and publications can be ordered on-line as well.
