It is only within an atmosphere that encourages creativity and innovation that significant environmental progress will be made. EPA Region 7 wants to foster this attitude to promote big thinking and real results.

We have three of the largest ag-oriented states in our region. It is important that we understand the agricultural community and build relationships with the various entities within them to help foster practical and effective environmental solutions.

Energy showing windmills, Soybean corps and an ear of corn Provide environmental leadership on climate change and energy.

We live in the midst of some of the most revolutionary alternative energy ideas in the world. From ethanol and biodiesel to wind and solar power, some of the most creative and innovative industries and producers in these arenas are here in Region 7. We need to be a resource in partnering with them to ensure that, as we grow new ideas, we are doing so with environmental performance in mind.

Region 7 Priority Communication silhouette of

Clear communication is key for the success of our Agency. Whether partnering with industry and business or facilitating a staff meeting, we must clearly state our objectives and follow through in a timely fashion.

SUMMARY: By working together, we can help our communities make choices that benefit both the local economy and environment. EPA Region 7 is available as an environmental resource for the wide variety of people we serve.
