What is the most common sexually transmitted infection?

answer

The most common infection is human papillomavirus (HPV). More than 5 million people get HPV every year.  It can cause warts and cancer.  Because it is so common, females over 20 should get a Pap test every year.

Medical Institute Launches $1 million Sexual Health Campaign

The Medical has launched a $1 million campaign to educate parents and increase awareness to the problems of STDs, teen pregnancy and the emotional implications of teen sexual activity.  This campaign includes the creation of a new 22-minute Parent Child Video to help parents effectively communicate sexual health information with their children, a new sexual health website, www.hookingupstories.org, where users can participate in an interactive platform that discusses sexual choices and outcomes. The website will be supported by viral web content, such as provocative YouTube videos that will encourage young people to ask questions and seek the accurate answers.
