DeKalb County, Georgia — 2003–2008

From March 2003–February 2008, the DeKalb County Public School System in Georgia received funding from CDC’s Division of Adolescent and School Health to conduct the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS).

Past Program Activities

Conducted the Youth Risk Behavior Survey

  • Collaborated with the Board of Health to obtain data that are representative of all students in grades 9–12 in DeKalb County.
     
  • Developed a brief YRBS results report to summarize the data.
     
  • Disseminated YRBS data to all administrators in the school system as well as to health and physical education teachers across the district.
