National Dialogue on Access to Environmental Information Update. EPA’s Draft Information Access Strategy is available for public comment between now and November 14, 2008. Visit http://www.epa.gov/nationaldialogue/ to comment. Earlier this year, EPA conducted the National Dialogue on Access to Environmental Information. We have reviewed the thousands of comments we received related to environmental information needs and access preferences. The Draft Information Access Strategy was developed from this input and offers recommendations on how EPA can provide more effective information access in the future.
Getting information about EPA data and terminology just got easier. Try our new Web sites the System of Registries (SoR) and Data Standards. Submit online comments to help us make future releases even better.

EPA Scores an A+ on 2007 Congressional FISMA Report Card! Congratulations EPA! OEI is proud to announce that EPA scored an A+ on the just-released 2007 Congressional Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) Report Card. This committee developed these scores to help Congress gauge a federal agency’s information security progress. This year’s score is up from an A- last year. EPA’s continued success story is the result of strong Agency-wide senior management support and hard work by the Agency’s information security community. We are particularly delighted that all of EPA’s current Information System Security Line of Business customers (other agencies that use EPA’s ASSERT tool) received a B- or higher. Our customer’s success further strengthens EPA as a leader in the world of Federal information security.
