Adult group tour (college, professional, other) is an option for groups ranging from five-thirty people (groups smaller than five people are asked to join one of the Standing Tours). These tours are generally longer and more detailed than tours for field trip groups. Upon arrival to the Global Health Odyssey Museum, the group will be greeted and oriented to CDC on the Global Symphony platform. The Global Symphony is a media installation featuring three, three-minute stories that describe in depth CDC’s contributions to the elimination of polio, an historic Legionnaires’ disease outbreak, and the battle to stem the rise of obesity in the United States. Following the orientation, the group will tour the current temporary exhibit and the History of CDC exhibit.

The person requesting the tour may also request a CDC speaker. Speakers are CDC employees who volunteer their time, so speaker availability is not guaranteed. Topics vary and depend on speaker availability.

Following the guided tour, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the exhibit area independently.

Group Point of Contact Instructions. Additional information regarding parking and security will be sent via email in a field trip confirmation email. Prior to Visit
