Sean,

Are you familiar with PRIME TIME FAMILY READING TIME, administered by the
Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities? It is an intergenerational
reading, storytelling and discussion program based on award-winning
children's literature for low-income families with children aged 6 to 10
who are reading below their grade level. Our web site is
http://www.leh.org. In 2001, one of 14 sites outside of Louisiana will
take place in Woodburn Public Library in Woodburn, OR (that's the closes
site to you, I believe).

I'd be happy to tell you more about it at any time.

Sincerely,
Dana

I am researching family literacy programs on behalf of the Washington
(State) Commission for the Humanities. Currently, WCH is Washington
State's affiliate for Motheread/Fatheread, and we are researching other
programs. Specifically, we are interested in learning about programs that
are national or regional in scope and are offered by affiliate groups at a
local level (similar to how Motheread is administered). Please let me
know if you are aware of such programs. We are working under a fast
approaching deadline, so please respond by Monday, December 11.
