Great ideas..... Since you suggest I pose a question to the list, here is the question for this month.....EVERYONE can respond to this one.... What do you think is the best tips you have to give people beginning a new family literacy program? What advice do you have for "new-to-family-literacy" folks? What do you wish you had known when you began in family literacy? What helped you the most as you got started? I know, that is more than one question, but really, different formats of the same question.... IF you would like to get the NIFL-Family list messages just one time a day, you can subscribe to the "digest" version of the messages. That means, all the NIFL-Family messages sent out in one day will appear as one e-mail in your incoming mail. First you must already be subscribed to the list. Once you receive the message that you are subscribed, then send a message to: listproc@literacy.nifl.gov In the body, type: set NIFL-Family mail digest There should be no other words at all in the body. IF for some reason this does not work for you, just e-mail me personally at nsledd@famlit.org and I will check it out for you. And, perhaps you remember some great messages that appeared on the list a month ago, or last year, or even FOUR years ago, but you did not save all those jillions of messages.... Well, you may go to http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/discussions/nifl-family/family_literacy.html and look those messages up in the archives. Great way to research topics discussed in the past few years. NIFL sponsors about 10 lists total: ESL, Equipped for the Future, Women and Literacy, Workplace, Homeless, Technology, Health and Literacy, Poverty Race and Literacy, Focus on Basics, and Learning Disabilities. You may subscribe to any/all of these online by going to http://www.nifl.gov/lincs/discussions Nancy Sledd Family Literacy Training Specialist National Center for Family Literacy 325 West Main Street, Suite #200 Waterfront Plaza Louisville, KY 40202-4251 (502) 584-1133 ext. 142 (502) 584-0172 fax > -----Original Message----- > From: nifl-family@nifl.gov [mailto:nifl-family@nifl.gov]On Behalf Of > CLindsley > Sent: Thursday, October 19, 2000 1:13 PM > To: Multiple recipients of list > Subject: [NIFL-FAMILY:3221] Re: To remove yourself from any of the > NIFL-sponsored list discussions > > > Thanks, Nancy.
