Forgive me for cross-postings.

Baltimore Reads is researching the quality and
availability of *software* to track the reading
progress of elementary school children and provide

strong evaluation data.

We have designed our own reading instruction
model, based on a list of leveled books and
associated reading-infused activities, but have no

easy way to test and track the children's skill
acquisition / progress over time.

A quick search with Netscape yielded one website,
which seemed worthwhile -
www.lexialearning.com. Any body have experience
with this tool?

Any other ideas or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
