September 25: Community Conversations
American Indian Heritage 7:00 pm - Room B101
Montana is home to eight tribal governments representing eleven tribes, seven reservations, and five major urban Indian communities. As a result, our state is a rich center of American Indian heritage where culture and spirit are very much alive. Yet Montana's Indian population is challenged by a variety of social and economic issues. What programs and projects are underway to address these concerns and what policies can be initiated to beneficially impact our state's Native population? Listen to a lively discussion as panelists and the audience address these issues during American Indian Heritage Week.
