For wonderful and helpful children's books on grief, try this website:

http://www.awhitmanco.com/

At the homepage, click on "Concept Books."

This is the website for Albert Whitman and Company. Albert Whitman publishes
a whole line of "Concept Books"--picture books that sensitively help children
deal with difficult or challenging situations in life, e.g. death of a parent
or friend; having a parent who goes to jail or abuses alcohol; divorce;
adoption; having a chronic illness; having a disability--there are two many
topics and books to list here!

The company also has some longer books directed at preteens and young adults.

Not only are the books well written, but they are beautifully illustrated (or
photographed).

By the way, some of you may be familiar with the Boxcar Children series--this
is the same publisher. They also do "regular" books!
