SUMMARY: The Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Energy and the Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and the Army Corps of Engineers are adopting a unified Federal policy on watershed management. This policy, which provides a framework for a watershed approach to Federal land and resource management activities, is one of the action items in the President's Clean Water Action Plan: Restoring and Protecting America's Waters. The final policy has been revised in response to public comments on the proposed policy published in the Federal Register on February 22, 2000 (65 FR 8834). DATES: This policy is effective October 18, 2000.
