As parents and educators prepare for the start of a new school year, the U.S. Department of Labor wants them to know about the wealth of education- and school-related benefit programs that can be found at www.GovBenefits.gov.

GovBenefits.gov is an award-winning website that empowers citizens to determine their potential eligibility for more than 400 federal benefit programs and more than 200 state benefit programs.

The GovBenefits.gov website offers parents, teachers and school officials information about benefit programs 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week. Among the featured benefits are the School Breakfast and Lunch, student loan, immunization and special education programs.

We strongly encourage parents and educators to consider GovBenefits.gov their one-stop, easy-to-use resource for school- and education-related benefits and information.

Since the site was launched in April 2002, GovBenefits.gov has had more than 12 million visitors and generated more than 2 million citizen referrals to benefit programs tailored to their needs.
