OSHA has determined that the Oregon State standard amendment for Presence Sensing Device Initiation of Mechanical Power Presses is identical to the Federal standard amendment and that the State- initiated amendment for Telecommunications is at least as effective as the comparable Federal standard. OSHA also determined that the State- initited amendment for Vehicles is substantially identical to the equivalent Federal standard. OSHA therefore approves the standards; however, reserves the right to reconsider approval for the Telecommunications and Vehicles standards should substantial objections be submitted to the Assistant Secretary. Decision is effective January 23, 1990.
