Description: The Encyclopedia of Taiwan covers the history, geography, local customs, politics, economics, sociology, laws and culture of the island from the Tang Dynasty to the Japanese occupation period. It contains 595 books in 309 categories, primarily from the period of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1912). The encyclopedia also incorporates local histories, official documents and literary works of Ming, Qing Dynasties as well as Nan-Ming. Data and information are gathered from not only local libraries, but also libraries of Japan, the USA, Hong Kong, Great Britain and the Netherlands. In Chinese with no English interface.
