The Governor joined KSSK's Michael W. Perry and Larry Price, in selling special edition "Kids Day" Honolulu Advertiser newspapers to benefit Parents and Children Together.
Governor Lingle and KSSK's Perry & Price sell a Kids Day newspaper to Petty Officer First Class Jesse Clayton.
The special Kids Day edition newspaper featured student winners of PACT's Kids Day Creativity Contest, themed "The Ocean and Me."
Proceeds from the newspaper sales help PACT provide family-strengthening prevention programs for children, adolescents and parents.
Programs include:
Ohia domestic violence shelter;
Community Teen Program;
Family Centers at Kuhio Park Terrace and Kane`ohe;
CPS Visitation Centers in Waipahu and Wai`anae;
Family Peace Centers on O`ahu and Maui;
Respite Care Program Centers;
Family Visitation Centers on O`ahu, Maui and Kaua`i;
Economic Development Centers;
Early Head Start and Head Start Programs;
Hana Like Home Visitor Program;
Lana`i Integrated Support Services; and
Intensive Support Services Program.
