Damp
grain is more likely to spoil, form clumps and become difficult
to unload than dry grain.
Remember
this as you start harvesting wet or flood-damaged crops. Even
if your fields escaped damage from standing water or flash
floods, be wary of damp grain, especially when you unload
it from grain bins.
Watch
for clumps and hidden grain bridges. And never get into a
bin until you've shut off and locked out the power. If you
have questions about flood-related problems or harvest safety,
contact the _____ County Extension office.
