North Korea – Proliferation Security Initiative

Question:   Has there been any stepped up level of interdiction/prevention by Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) partners related to North Korea and current situation?

Answer:   PSI partners remain vigilant in their efforts to stop transfers of weapons of mass destruction, their delivery systems and related items to and from state and non-state actors of proliferation concern, such as North Korea. PSI partners are committed to work together whenever they are in a position to stop a transfer of WMD-related items to and from state and non-state actors of proliferation concern.
