Last
week, my granddaughter was here at the farm and asked me,
"Grandpa, what's a corn crib?"
I convinced
her it was where baby corn went to sleep.
But
yesterday she asked me, "Grandpa, what's a pesticide?" I told
her it was something my grandkids would never find stored
at this farm because I listened to some good advice. I've
reduced my pesticide storage to zero.
You
know, someone could accidentally get into all those pesticides
I used to store in the shed. I wouldn't want it to be her.
Or, the next storm could rip that shed to pieces, and then
where would those pesticides be?
I feel
better knowing that I don't keep leftover pesticides on my
farm.
Stop
by your county Extension office. They have lots of good ideas
about how you can reduce your pesticide storage to the bare
bones, too.
